This sentence alone makes some parents angry. But itโs the truth teachers see every day. Children reflect the environment they grow up in, especially between age 7 to 12.

Here are 5 reasons the behaviour you dislike may actually start with you:
1. They copy your reactions.
If you panic, shout or shut down, they repeat the same patterns with friends.
2. They learn emotional safety from home.
A child who gets scolded for expressing feelings becomes silent in school.
3. They mirror your relationship with screens.
If you scroll every free moment, they think that is the normal way to live.
4. They copy how you speak to service staff.
Kids who watch parents talk down to others usually treat friends the same way.
5. They behave how they are treated.
A child who is constantly rushed becomes impatient. A child who is always criticised becomes defensive.
Children donโt become better by force.
They become better by example.
