Who would have thought that a love for reading could take her this far?
Kasih Nia Laila, 11, is an only child confident, cheerful, and full of surprises. This year marks her second time as an emcee for the Year-End Concert (YEC) 2025.
Yes, she still gets nervous, but her courage always shines brighter than her fear.
Her journey began at just 7 years old, when she joined the Book Review Competition at the Sepang District level.
The contest was open to students aged 7โ12, and despite being the youngest participant, Kasih
amazed everyone by winning 1st place (Champion) and proudly representing Sepang at the Selangor State level an incredible feat for someone so young.

Since then, the stage has never felt unfamiliar. Her mother, Puan Anna Syerina, shared,
โOnce someone says โ1, 2, 3, action!โ she immediately gets into character. She still feels nervous, but she stays calm and steady. We keep supporting her because we know she can do it.โ
During this yearโs YEC, the audience was captivated by Kasihโs confidence and composure. Her clear voice, beautiful intonation, and natural stage presence made her shine like a young professional.

Many were amazed to see how a small girl could speak so gracefully in front of hundreds, filling the hall with warmth and excitement.
Sometimes, talent isnโt just what we have itโs what we dare to show.
And Kasih Nia Laila proves that courage grows, one stage at a time.
